JPEG Weekly - Entry No. 4 by James Posilero

Another weekend almost over but this was a special one because I just got back from running my first ever landscape photography workshop hosted by our friends from the Fuji X Aus community.

Huge shoutout to Gustavo Potenza (Admin) and Chong Lee (Moderator) for organising the event!

The group headed down to the Southwest of W.A. on Saturday to photograph Canal Rocks for sunset and Sugarloaf Rock for sunsire the day after.

Here are some behind-the-scenes snaps from my phone.

A trip such as this isn’t complete without the mandatory group portrait!

Well I almost missed this one! A day late but as they say, “Better late than never”.

I was up at 4am last Saturday for a sunrise shoot at Cape Peron in Rockingham and as soon as the sun was too high and the light went from good to average, I decided to go around the cape and pick out possible compositions for future shoots. This was an exercise in “seeing”, getting to know the area and allowing myself to make mistakes.

If there is one thing I can encourage any photographer to practice, that would be composition and practice incessantly!

Thank you as always.

James
